So this week, I’m at the Orange Conference in Atlanta. It’s only been a day – a few breakout sessions and one main session. My mind is a buzz with Reggie Joiner’s message tonight. Seriously, great stuff. He took the prodigal son story and gave great application, how there is a difference between how the brother responded and how the father responded. He asked this question:
“What would happen if we decided to treat a prodigal the way a loving father would treat his own child?”
What Reggie ended up saying in the next hour unpacked that statement with a mission that every volunteer should hear and adopt…”so that every person who hears [our] message coming from the voice of a loving father.” What a great picture for the church: accepting the prodigal with the open arms of forgiveness and celebrating his return with great joy. That’s a church I want to be apart of!
Some pics and video for your enjoyment:
My boss, Brian VanderArk lead a breakout on Service.
The LED lights were amazing. It was great to be able to follow lyrics AND see the band live rather than from an IMeg off to the side.

Steve Fee is an amazing worship leader. Here’s a few seconds from “All Because of You” (I think I might really like Flickr Video…)
More to come… only day one!

Some how I get the feeling that your conference is slightly more inspiring than the one day seminar on Rational Functional Tester I attended. Call me crazy.
How nice.
The lyric lights are an amazing idea! Seems like that would be a ton easier to follow than a regular screen with moving pics. Wish I could be there…
